The GENII CONVERTER USB connects to a USB port of a computer and converts the signals to RS485 format.
In this way it can be used to link a PC directly to an Innotech Genesis or Maxim RS485 network. Isolated RS485 circuitry prevents voltage irregularities on the communication cabling from damaging the computer, and reduces the likelihood of communications errors.
